Since its founding in 1968, London Hotel has stood as one of the capital's most storied addresses. Nestled at the edge of Berkeley Square — where nightingales once famously sang — the hotel occupies a beautifully preserved Georgian townhouse that has been expanded and refined across six decades of ownership by the Harrington family.
What began as a 20-room boutique property has grown into a 58-suite five-star landmark, while retaining the intimate, personal character that has always distinguished us from larger rivals. Every general manager has been promoted from within; our longest-serving team member, head concierge Michael Okafor, has been with us since 1991.
The hotel was completely reimagined in 2024 — a two-year transformation led by interior designer Helena Cartwright, renowned for blending British craftsmanship with contemporary art deco sensibility. The results are spaces of breathtaking beauty, built to last another half-century.
Location
Berkeley Square sits at the geographical and cultural centre of Mayfair — arguably London's most prestigious neighbourhood. Guests are a ten-minute stroll from Bond Street's flagship boutiques, the Royal Academy on Piccadilly, and Green Park's vast green spaces.
Grosvenor Square and the American Embassy gardens are a five-minute walk. The West End's theatre district — including the Theatre Royal Haymarket — is accessible on foot in under fifteen minutes. Hyde Park, the world's most celebrated urban park, begins just six minutes away.

Extending across 2,400 square feet of the hotel's lower ground floor, The Harrington Spa offers a deeply restorative retreat from the energy of city life. Our menu of therapies draws from both British herbal traditions and contemporary wellness science.
Five treatment rooms accommodate individual and couples' experiences. A heated vitality pool, experience shower, sauna and steam room complete the thermal journey. All treatments use ESPA and Bamford products, exclusively available to hotel guests and spa members.
Leisure
Our heated indoor swimming pool — lined with warm amber-hued marble and illuminated by sculpted brass lanterns — provides a serene space for morning laps or leisurely afternoon swims. Poolside attendants are on hand to provide chilled towels, refreshments and anything else you require.
A fully equipped fitness suite adjoins the pool area, featuring Technogym apparatus and a dedicated stretch studio. Personal training sessions can be arranged through the concierge.

From our kitchens sourcing 90% of ingredients from British farms to our furnishings crafted in Gloucestershire — we champion the finest that Britain produces.
Certified carbon-neutral since 2023. We operate a zero single-use-plastic policy, source 100% renewable energy and donate 1% of revenue to UK conservation charities.
